Lakeshore College Swears Board Members In & Elects Officers

CLEVELAND, WI —
Lakeshore College’s District Board of Trustees incumbent member Monica Nichter has been reappointed to the board. Newly appointed board members Abbey Quistorf and Mary Parrish, along with Nichter, were sworn in at the board’s organizational meeting July 14.
Officers elected for the next term include Nichter, chair; Kim Rooney, vice chair; and Don Pohlman, secretary/treasurer.
Lakeshore has an appointed board consisting of nine members: two employer members, two employee members, three additional members, one elected official member who holds a state or local office, and one school district administrator. Three members are appointed to the Lakeshore Board of Trustees each year by a committee comprised of the county board chairs of the counties making up the Lakeshore district: Sheboygan, Manitowoc, Calumet, and Ozaukee. Terms for the three board members sworn in July 14 expire June 30, 2028.
Nichter has been reappointed as an additional member. She had an extensive healthcare career prior to her retirement as executive director from Froedtert Holy Family Memorial in 2021. She has fulfilled numerous leadership roles including strategic planning, operations management, change management, practice management, fundraising and community engagement, and has served as a mentor and coach. Nichter holds a Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.
Parrish is the executive administrative assistant at the Sheboygan County Historical Research Center in Sheboygan Falls. Parrish’s responsibilities include graphic design, marketing, research, donor management, volunteer coordination, processing donated materials and hosting workshops and classes. Parrish and her husband, Jim, previously owned Kvindlog Services, Inc., in Waldo, Wisconsin for 15 years. She holds three degrees from Lakeshore College.
Quistorf is the executive director of the Chamber of Manitowoc County. She has been with the Chamber since 2008 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Quistorf also serves as an ex-officio board member for Progress Lakeshore and the Two Rivers Business Association; a trustee for the Manitowoc County Library Board; and is co-director of the Miss Harbor Cities Scholarship Organization.
